Discovering Alphabetical Letter Positions

During the same month that Will experienced numerical responses (see previous blog post), he had an even more incredible experience during a spiritual rodding engagement. It began by the right rod pointing toward his heart.  Sensing a connection with the spirit of Baby William (his stillborn grandson), he noticed the left rod began to move and expected it to also point toward his heart.  But to his surprise, the rod instead moved and stopped at the number-9 position (like on a clock).  Puzzled by the position, Will had what he would later describe as a divinely inspired thought: What if this position represented a letter instead of the number-9?  So, assuming the number-1 position to be the first letter A, he counted to the alphabet’s 9th letter and inquired:

Question:    Is this position the letter I?

Response:   The rods moved to the Yes position.

The right rod spontaneously moved again and stopped at the number-1 position.

Question:    Is this position the letter A?

Response:   The rods again moved to the Yes position.

His rod next rotated and stopped again at the same 1-position or A-position.

Question:    Is this a second letter A?

Response:   This time the rods moved to the No position.

Perplexed for a while over this negative response, he had a further insight:  With there being twenty-six letters in the English alphabet, what if each of the 12-positions represent more than one letter of the alphabet?  In that case, the 1-position could be the 1st letter A, the 13th letter M, or the 25th letter Y? Visualized this way, the entire alphabet could be positioned on the horizontal surface underneath the rods. So, he asked:

Question:    Is this position the letter M?

Response:   The rods this time moved to the Yes position.

Given these insights, he put the rods down and drew a circular depiction of the alphabet to more readily follow the spelling movements.  (See the image in our How To section). He then resumed his engagement and received his first spiritual spelling in absolute awe:

I AM BABY WILLIAM

Moved to tears, he managed to utter, “Yes you are Baby William.” And, he imagined giving him, in a spiritually symbolic sense, a loving hug. When he related his phenomenal first spelling experience to his wife Pat, she recalled that her Grandma occasionally would use a Ouija board. Then, not long after his ‘I AM BABY WILLIAM’ experience, he had another unanticipated spelling when his left rod spontaneously began to rotate and he asked:

Q.  Is Grandma’s spirit initiating this movement?

R.  Yes.

Then, the rod spelled:

M A R I E   S C H O E N S T E I N   S T E I N A C K E R

He then asked:

Q.  Grandma, are you the source of Baby William’s spirit spelling I AM BABY WILLIAM?

 R.  Yes.

Q.  Did you teach Baby William’s spirit to spell his name this way?

 R.  Yes.

Q.  Did you in some way inspire and influence my insight regarding the circular alphabet?

 R.  Yes.

Before this experience, he was not aware that Grandma’s maiden name. So when he told Pat of this experience, she confirmed that Schoenstein was, in fact, Grandma’s maiden name.  Out of this experience and in honor of her contribution to our spiritual rodding practice, we call the circular alphabet:

Grandma’s Alphabet

The discovery of Grandma’s alphabet unlocked an amazing ability to receive messages from spirits. No longer confined to simple Yes/No responses, we could now fully communicate leading to even more amazing experiences. Further, discerning Grandma’s middle name served as an awesome validation of our experiences. With this foundation, I (Jack) can begin to share those experiences in future blog posts.
